Wellness in the Workplace Seminars

Our jobs cause us stress. Our home lives provide further stress. Poor self-care compounds the level of stress on our plate. Many of us struggle to manage stress effectively, and a lack of necessary skills and self-care cause negative effects on coping, communication, and productivity. 

By bringing a focus to employee wellness, you can help foster an environment that supports employee morale, functioning, and productivity.  Seminars are conducted by Karyn Dietz, LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and Jacki Fichtner, L.Ac. (Licensed Acupuncturist and Oriental Medicine provider). They cover topics of physical wellness, mental health, stress effects and management, and mindfulness.  The seminars are designed to balance education with learning skills. The first 75 minutes of the seminar focuses on providing information and discussing a variety of wellness skills. The remaining 45 minutes are used to actively teach mindfulness, relaxation skills, and (for employees who are up for it!) brief acupuncture and acupressure opportunities.

Benefits of Wellness in the Workplace Seminars:

*Stress management skills help decrease workplace distress
​*Shows support for individual needs and wellness
*Improved productivity through decreased distractedness and/or difficulty focusing
*Communication skills offer more effective ways to express concerns, needs, or questions



The Seminar Components:

*Two hour Wellness in the Workplace seminar
              *75 minutes of education and skill-explanation
              *45 minutes of active relaxation practice, including brief acupuncture/acupressure

*Up to 30 minutes of phone consultation prior to the seminar
*A pre-seminar questionnaire for management to complete to help tailor discussions to your workplace needs
*Employee packets of handouts with information on physical health, mental health, stress management, and mindfulness
*Employee relaxation and mindfulness items to take home or use at work

Cost and scheduling:

Wellness in the Workplace seminars are $750 for the first 20 employees. There is an added cost of $50 for every further 10 employees. All components mentioned above are included in this cost.  We require at least 4 weeks between date of scheduling and the date of the seminar, in order to prepare individual packets and take-home items.
